I’m Kate Fried (pronounced "freed").
I’m married to a junior high History teacher, and together we’re raising four free-spirited girls.
Life in our house is a roller coaster of creative chaos, big emotions and learning how to be a family who loves Jesus and each other, one day at a time.
I’m drawn to simple joys—golden evening light, deep conversations, and the thrill of a thrift store.
When I’m not editing a session or exploring with my family, you’ll find me looking for treasures with my husband. Filling a home with history thrills my soul—objects that have lived a life already, giving hints of the past and letting us imagine the rest.
My favorite sessions are the ones where kids explore with untamed curiosity, dads teach how to skip rocks, and moms pull their little ones in for cuddles. It’s in the small moments—the hand-holding walks, the head resting on a shoulder - the way love looks when no one’s trying too hard.
That’s the good stuff.
These are the moments that, years from now, will be the ones you look back on and treasure dearly.

I graduated with a BS in Art/Education, studying a variety of creative media - drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics & stained glass. Essentially, all of my training has involved honing the ability to see beauty.
Seeing beauty is what I now continue to do - I love to see your family, in all of your authentic, God-breathed loveliness.
I am a proud recipient of a 2023 Best of SWMO photographer award.
My first years after college were in a high school classroom, teaching Art. I spent 4 years at Blue Eye High School followed by 7 years at Branson High School before becoming a stay-at-home mom. The daily interaction in a classroom for 11 years taught me to manage large groups of people effectively.
I see the world in colors, patterns & textures, always looking for the best composition, the best balance and harmony so your photos are unique works of art.
After 5 years of unexplained infertility, God gave us 4 beautiful daughters. They are now 9, 7, 6 & 11 months old.
Spending these last 9 years as a stay-at-home mom have been incredibly rewarding (& challenging, of course!).
I understand how deeply you love your own children. It is a privilege to witness your bond with your family.
I am genuinely filled with delight at the chance to document your unique story through images.
