I'm looking for light, framing & the little details that go into a work of art.

I can't help but look for those things when I'm photographing your family, too. I want your photos to be beautiful & most of all a true representation of who you are as a family.

My first years after college were spent in a classroom, teaching high school art. 

After 11 years of dedicating myself to other people's children, I went from public school to motherhood.

Those years in the classroom taught me a lot about people. I learned how to connect with very different personalities & how to create a space where people feel comfortable being themselves.

In a family session, I know kids don't always cooperate. I know some are shy, some are wild & some need a little time to warm up. 

That's okay. 

We're going to work with who they are rather than fit them into a mold.

After five years of unexplained infertility, God blessed me & my husband with our sweet girls.

We now have four daughters, ages 2 through 11. Spending these years at home with them has been the most rewarding season of my life (& the most challenging, for sure!).

Motherhood has made me more aware of how ordinary moments become the things we miss the most.

I love getting to step into your family's world for an hour, to see the way your kids laugh, the way they cling to you, the personalities that come out when they forget I'm there.

Your family's love for each other, captured through my lens, is the best proof that you're growing something beautiful.
